Instructions on how to update your system to
Enable TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 Protocols for Secured Website Connections

Dear Valued Customer: In our efforts to provide you with the latest in internet security, we have implemented a more secure connection protocol on our website. We've also created a simple step by step “how-to” that shows how to enable TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 in either Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 computers

NOTE: Windows XP is no longer supported by Microsoft as of April 2014.  If you still use Windows XP, you must use the Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox web browsers to continue to use the ED4 / ED5 payment website. Download either from links below.

Google Chrome Download:https://www.google.com/chrome/browser/desktop/index.html

Mozilla Firefox Download:https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/

NOTE: Windows Vista users can get the free upgrade to Internet Explorer 8 or 9 (if they haven’t done so already) prior to using the “how-to” guide below since Windows Vista initially comes with Internet Explorer 7 from the factory and its does not support TLS1.1 and TLS 1.2. Only Internet Explorer 8 and up support these protocols.  Click the link to upgrade Internet Explorer for Windows Vista. www.microsoft.com/ie

NOTE: iMac and Apple desktops must use Safari 7 or an alternate browser such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. TLS settings are automatically applied on those browsers and require no setting changes. Safari 6 does not support TLS 1.1 or TLS 1.2.

Apple Safari 7 : https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204416
Google Chrome : https://www.google.com/chrome/browser/desktop/index.html
Mozilla Firefox : https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/

NOTE: Android Phones and iPhones are not affected by this as they are already TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 capable by default

Start of the procedure for Windows Vista, 7, 8/8.1 and 10

 Step 1:

To enable TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2, Go to “Start” and then select “Control Panel”
and then click on “Internet Options”

Note: Windows 8/8.1 users may need to use the SEARCH function to find the control panel as seen below.  If needed SEARCH for control panel.

Alternate Windows 8 procedure to access the control panel if having difficulties.

Step 2:

When you click “Internet Options” the window below will appear containing 7 tabs
on the top. Click on the “Advanced” tab:

Step 3:

Once in the “Advanced Tab” scroll all the way down to the “Security” section and click the box next to “Use TLS 1.1” and “Use TLS 1.2” like you see in this picture below

Step 4:

Click on “Apply” then “OK”

Then restart your computer and you're done. That's it!
